From The Charlatan Wonder
Ingredients:
- Macaroni
- Bacon
- Chicken Breasts
- Flour
- Milk
- Cheese, grated (lots (recommended 2 parts mild cheddar, 1 part sharp, 1 part probalone))
- Breadcrumbs
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 160C/325F
- Cook macaroni al dente in a BIG pot
- Butterfly chicken breasts and fry with bacon
- Remove bacon and chicken breasts and set aside
- Add whole stick of butter to the frying pan to melt
- Once melted, sift flour into pan until moisture is removed
- Add milk until you have a thin sauce
- Slowly add cheese to sauce while stirring, add more milk if sauce becomes too thick
- Once mixed, add cheese sauce to the drained pasta in the BIG pot
- Dice bacon and chicken and add most of it to the pot
- Transfer pasta from the pot to a greased casserole dish
- Coat top of pasta in breadcrumbs, then garnish with leftover cheese, meat and something green (parsley or spring onions)
- Cook for 30-45 minutes, remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes
